Special Education TeacherThe SPED Mod Dis 5-12 Teacher at Mill Pond Schools provides comprehensive academic, social, emotional, and behavioral support within a highly structured therapeutic school environment. Collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team, the teacher develops and implements individualized education programs (IEPs) and tailored instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment.The Mill Pond Schools, with locations in Springfield and the Berkshires, serve students-kindergarten through age 22-who have social-emotional and/or behavioral challenges, a learning disability, or who may have a diagnosis of high-functioning Autism. We are committed to serving the whole child, including the child's family. Our goal is to assist students in developing the skills necessary to successfully return to a less-restrictive environment, and, ultimately, to their previous school setting.ScheduleMonday shift, 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. and Tuesday - Friday shifts, 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.QUALIFICATIONS:Requires a Bachelor's degree with a current teaching licensure in Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities 5-12.Requires excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Experience working in educational settings with students of varying backgrounds, presentations and diagnoses preferred.Competitive Salary/Comprehensive Benefit Package
