Logistics Dispatcher Manager

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher Lead to join our logistics team. The Dispatcher Lead will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of freight. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to analyze logistics data, and proficiency in managing fleet operations. The ideal candidate will be adept at using phone systems and transportation management software, including SyteLine, to facilitate smooth dispatching processes. Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule freight deliveries using transportation management systems. Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely pickups and deliveries. Analyze logistical data to optimize routes and improve efficiency. Manage fleet operations, including monitoring vehicle status and addressing any issues that arise. Utilize phone systems to maintain constant communication with drivers throughout their routes. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies related to transportation management. Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and provide reports as needed. Experience Previous experience in logistics or dispatching is preferred. Familiarity with freight operations and transportation management systems is a plus. Proficiency in using SyteLine or similar software for tracking shipments and managing fleet resources. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess situations quickly and make informed decisions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and clients. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
