We believe every organization deserves the most elegantly architected platform for event management, both at the technology and service layer.\n\nJob Description\n\nThe Senior React Native Engineer owns Brushfire's entire mobile platform — two distinct React Native applications serving different audiences, both shipping to iOS and Android. One is Brushfire's organizer-facing app; the other is a white-label attendee-facing app that ships as individually branded builds to the App Store and Google Play on behalf of clients. This role owns the full mobile lifecycle: development, testing, pipeline management, and store releases. The right person is a senior-level mobile engineer who can operate independently, touch the APIs their apps consume, and contribute meaningfully to a planned platform consolidation effort.\n\nThe ideal candidate for this position is someone who is extremely comfortable with the latest technology, trends, and favors concrete execution over abstract ideation. We are proudly impartial when it comes to solutions – we like to try new things and the best idea is always the winning idea, regardless of the way we’ve done it previously.\n\nThis is a full-time work-from-home position.\n\nQualifications\n\nThe following characteristics are necessary for a qualified applicant to be considered:\n\n5+ years of professional software engineering experience\n3+ years of experience working with React Native\n2+ years of experience submitting and maintaining cross-platform mobile applications in the iOS App Store and Google Play Store\n2+ years of experience working with TypeScript\n1+ years of experience working in agile/scrum workflow including detailed use of tools like JIRA and Shortcut\nDemonstrable, transformative use of AI development tooling in a real engineering workflow\nExperience with PubSub databases, specifically Google Cloud Firestore and Firebase Realtime Database\nExperience with Github (or other similar version control systems) and CI/CD pipeline tools like Azure Devops and Github actions\nAbility to communicate fluently, pleasantly, and effectively—both orally and in writing, in the English language—with customers and co-workers.\nConcrete examples and evidence of work product and what role the applicant played in it\n\nThe following characteristics are not necessary but are highly desired:\n\nSufficient backend instinct to read, understand, and modify API endpoints without breaking things\nExperience writing unit tests in any language\nExperience with SQL Databases\nExperience with C# and React\nBachelor's degree or higher in computer science or related technical field\nAbility to contribute to strategic and planning sessions around architecture and implementation\n\nAdditional Information\n\nWhat’s it like to work for Brushfire?\n\nWe’ve been 100% remote for the better part of two decades, and our team is a diverse group of caring, driven people from all backgrounds and technological comfort levels that strive to provide the best for our customers while also being the best they can be for their team.
