This position will collect core samples and data to support the team in development of mine plans and long-term development. The individual will compile data, report information and operate various equipment, such as but not limited to, drill rig, maintenance vehicles, skid steers and heavy equipment.\n\nEssential Functions\nCollect needed core samples and supply field logs\nOperate ERI and process/forward data to Engineering Team\nMaintain equipment in proper working condition and high level of cleanliness\nPerforms drilling activities necessary to obtain material samples and data for subsurface investigations\nPerform the selection, set up, and dismantling of drilling location\nOperates power control center from drilling station to raise and lower mast, install pipe, casing, core barrels and drill rods, govern speed of rotation, and bit penetration rate\nPerforms removal, packing, and identification of cores, and creates a geological logging of boring holes\nOperates and maintains inventory, equipment, and vehicle records for drill rig, maintenance vehicles and heavy equipment\nBack up for quality control technicians throughout Indiana\nPerform other duties as assigned\nAdditional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.\n\nEducation Qualifications\nRequired High School or Equivalent\n\nSkills and Abilities\nMust maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance\nFollow written and verbal directions to complete assigned tasks on schedule\nRead, write, and communicate in English & understand basic math\nWorking knowledge of US Aggregates Safety and Operating principles\nComplete all applicable documentation, recordkeeping, and daily inventory\nParticipate in safety briefings, job briefings, and any other pass on information from team members, management, or customer\nMust be able to work with a team, take direction and follow work rules, as well as take on additional job responsibilities as needed or assigned\nFlexibility required; ability to work days, nights, weekends\nPerform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements\nMust possess and exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently to get things done\nStrong welding, torching, and maintenance skills preferred\n\nWorking Conditions/Physical Demands\nMust have the ability to continuously stand or walk on level or uneven ground\nMust have the ability to ascend and descend ladders, stairways and incline catwalks\nMust have the ability to bend, crouch and/or kneel at the waist or knees\nMust have the ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 75lbs\nAbility to work outside the majority of the time and withstand extreme weather conditions.
