About The PositionMetal Arts, LLC is seeking team members for our Shipping and Receiving team that want to start a career instead of a job. The Metal Arts Shipping & Receiving Teams are the backbone of our process. Our Receiving Team is tasked with both receiving all material in an efficient and accurate manner and loading material for the Parts Team to process. Receiving requires attention to detail, ensuring our material is proper and meets our quality standards. Any mistakes in the receiving process create a domino effect that can take days to sort out.The Metal Arts Shipping Team is the culmination of our entire team’s efforts. Our Shipping Team is responsible for organizing all material immediately following finishing to make the loading process quick and seamless. Constantly interacting with the Project Management Team, our Shipping Team prepares every load efficiently and safely to ensure on-time delivery. The Metal Arts Shipping Team is always on the move and requires a high level of internal motivation to keep the process moving forward.Position RequirementsOperate tablet based software to receive incoming shipments or load outgoing shipmentsSafely and efficiently operate several types of material handling equipment, including standard forklifts, rough terrain forklifts, and telehandlersMaintain attention to detail at all times, in order to ensure accurate documentation of shipments or incoming and outgoing steelLoad and unload steel on to machinery for processingMonitor and clean the yard at all times of trash and debris to keep your workplace clean and safeMaintain proper work attire at all times for the weather conditions on any given dayAdhere to all company policies and maintain a minimum of unplanned absences and tardinessMaintain a positive attitude and ensure that Metal Arts is a positive environment to work in, free of unnecessary conflicts and issuesCompensation$14/hr to $20/hr, dependent upon experienceEmployee BenefitsEmployees enjoy a benefits package that includes health insurance, dental insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO) and a Simple IRA plan with retirement matching.
