The EHS Coordinator must interact with employees, contractors, and visitors and must spend a significant amount of time in the plant ensuring that all programs and procedures are appropriate and are being followed. This role coordinates/conducts training, develops safe working practices, and participates in all incident investigations. The EHS Coordinator conducts internal plant audits and develops and tracks corrective actions based upon audit findings.\n\n QUALIFICATIONS\nHighly motivated individual\nBachelor’s Degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety and Health or related concentration or equivalent experience/training\nMinimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing safety management OR combination of education / experience in manufacturing, with knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations and other State and local regulatory agency requirements\nExperience conducting job hazard analyses, risk assessments, or safety/compliance audits is preferred\nAttention to detail and precision\nExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills\nEffective communication and teamwork abilities\nProficiency with MS Office\n\nCERTIFICATIONS\nOSHA (500) outreach trainer desired but not required\n30-Hour OSHA\nRigging, scaffolding, fall protection, confined space, and/or ladder safety competent person highly desired\nFirst Aid/CPR/AED\n\nPOSITION EXPECTATIONS\nBe reliable and conscientious\nAssume a leadership role in coaching employees\nPerform safety audits with a focus on personnel, safe use of equipment and materials and adherence to the company’s safety program\nConduct training on safety and health topics and incident prevention\nEstablish a safety focused culture and encourage employees to have a positive attitude toward safe work practices\nEnsure that employees are well-educated in safe practices and have resources to work in a safe manner\nAnalyze all incidents and near misses and recommend corrective action\nSubmit all company required project safety reports in an accurate and timely manner\nCoordinate/ conduct training of employees\nManage contractor safety program\nAssist in the development of safe work practices, and recommend new tools, equipment, and/or procedures to improve the safety of employees\nPost all safety bulletins, safety posters, safety rules and applicable legislation\n\nAS A MEMBER OF THE TEAM, YOU CAN EXPECT:\nCompetitive pay for the area – based on your years of experience.\nFull benefits package – Including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, paid time off, paid holidays, 401k, educational assistance, and more.\nCareer growth – Opportunities to progress in your career will be provided based on experience, continued training, and education.\nSafety is the priority – Our goal is to send everyone home to their families in the same condition they arrived at each day.\n\nAbout us: Cimolai-HY is a partnership between HY Steel LLC and Cimolai S.p.A., each an industry leader with a proven track record in their respective fields.
