{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"0bf6091dbfba337ce26c4d07","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/0bf6091dbfba337ce26c4d07","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/0bf6091dbfba337ce26c4d07","title":"Laundry Aide","description":"UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT\nJOB SUMMARY: $10:00-$13.00 NO CALLS PLEASE to follow up on your application please email HR: PFHR@VanguardHC.com\nThe primary purpose of the Laundry Aide position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Laundry Department and as may be directed by your supervisor and to assure resident safety.\nJOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAdministrative Functions\nEnsure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.\nAssist in coordinating daily laundry services with nursing and activity services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.\nAttend department and staff meetings as directed.\nFile complaints/grievances with your supervisor.\nTurn in all lost and found articles to your supervisor.\nMaintain a lost and found area in the laundry department.\nLaundry Services Functions\nPerform day-to-day laundry functions as assigned.\nPerform specific tasks according to daily work assignments.\nPerform assigned tasks according to established laundry procedures.\nCollect, sort, count and/or weigh soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc. and place in appropriate containers or assigned areas.\nSeparate items that require special stain removal/treatment.\nPress/iron garments as instructed.\nFold, count, stack, hang, label and distribute clean laundry to residents daily or as instructed.\nDuring emergency conditions, assure that clean laundry, linen, garments, etc., are distributed to designated areas as instructed.\nClean floors, including sweeping, dusting, and mopping as requested.\nKeep laundry area clean and sanitary.\nRemove dust, dirt, grease, etc. from equipment and/or floor surfaces as necessary.\nDiscard waste/trash into proper containers and reline receptacle with plastic liner.\nStaff Development Functions\nParticipate in department projects as directed.\nAttend in-service programs and on-the-job training classes as directed.\nAttend annual OSHA and CDC in-service programs for hazard communication, TB management and blood borne pathogens standards.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS:\nEducation\nMust possess a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education.\nExperience\nNone required.
