Role SummarySetup Technician 3 is responsible for the installation, calibration, and advanced troubleshooting of complex machinery, ensuring peak performance and alignment with production goals. This role leads the setup process for new or upgraded equipment, mentors junior technicians, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. With a high level of technical expertise, the Technician resolves challenging issues, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and ensures efficient plant operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the installation, setup, and calibration of complex machines and equipment, ensuring precise alignment with operational specifications for productionCollaborate closely with engineering and production teams to optimize machine performance for specialized production runs and implement necessary adjustmentsPerform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics on critical equipment issues, resolve complex malfunctions, and adjust settings to ensure maximum efficiencyConduct in-depth tests and inspections to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact production, ensuring minimal disruptionImplement corrective actions and lead preventive maintenance efforts to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and extend machinery lifespanAnalyze and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequencing, ensuring optimal production workflowsCollaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in machine setups and operational efficiencyOversee the operation and maintenance of powered industrial equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) to support machine setup, material transport, and seamless production processesEnsure safe operation of equipment and adherence to safety guidelinesPerform all other duties as assignedQualifications RequiredEducation: High SchoolExperience: Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing or industrial setting, with a focus on equipment setup and basic maintenanceCertifications/Licenses: Powered Industrial Equipment preferredCompetencies/SkillsIntermediate verbal and written communication skillsStrong understanding of mechanical systems and ability to perform simple troubleshooting and adjustmentsAbility to follow detailed instructions and ensure machines are set up correctlyAbility to perform hands-on work involving manual dexterity, including the operation of tools and equipmentStrong focus on safety practices and adherence to all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environmentAbility to work effectively within a team environment, following instructions and collaborating with other technicians.Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 30 pounds repeatedlyMust be able to push/pull objects up to 30 poundsMust be able to work in noisy environmentsMust have the dexterity to handle small objects.#ind-nonexemptVarious agencies of the United States Government require employers to maintain information on applicants pertaining to factors such as race, sex, and type of position for which an individual applies.
