The PCB Process Engineer also supports New Product Development, Through-Hole soldering operations, RMA activities, and collaborates closely with supervisors and cross-functional teams as needed.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nThe following outlines basic duties and responsibilities which are not intended to be all inclusive:\nOwn and manage assigned PCB manufacturing processes, ensuring stable, repeatable, and capable production\nRead and interpret PCB schematics, assembly drawings, setup sheets, Gerbers, Place Files, and BOMs to support accurate builds\nOperate and support production equipment including SMT (Juki), solder paste printers, board loader, reflow ovens, wave solder, AOI/SPI equipment, and related tools\nProgram and optimize SMT machines, solder paste printers, reflow ovens, wave solder systems, and AOI/SPI equipment\nSupport and utilize manual soldering equipment such as solder stations and mini-wave systems\nDevelop and maintain part routings, BOMs, work instructions, inspection criteria, and manufacturing documentation\nSupport New Product Introduction (NPI), including process reviews, qualifications, prototype builds, and production release\nTransfer products from prototype to full production, supporting DFM/DFA activities and manufacturability improvements\nAlign customer requirements to released production items and ensure compliance with customer specifications\nInspect PCBs for defects, analyze quality data, and ensure compliance with IPC and internal quality standards\nTroubleshoot manufacturing and quality issues using root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement tools\nAssist in creating, review, and maintaining PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, Inspection Guides, and related quality documents\nSupport Manufacturing and Engineering Change processes (MCO, ECO, TSD) and ensure controlled implementation\nCollaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Program Management to drive continuous improvement, RIE events, test fixture development, and preventive maintenance activities\nQUALIFICATIONS\nHigh School Diploma\nProficiency in soldering techniques and electrical assembly is a plus.\nAbility to read and interpret: Gerbers, BOMs, technical drawings, and work instructions.\nDemonstrates a positive attitude as a team player and support to the Company’s customers.\nConducts oneself with a high-level of professionalism and personal integrity.\nUse Microsoft Tools: Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint, etc.\nPERFERED QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor Engineering or Engineering Tech Degree\n5 years’ experience in PCB Production\n5 years’ experience in SMT Programming\nStrong knowledge of PCB Assembly and Soldering.\nParmi specific knowledge: Programming and Operating AOI Equipment\nJuki specific knowledge: Programming Language, Setup, Running\nTroubleshoot and determine root cause of issues.\nEvaluate Manufacturability and Efficiency savings during production.\nCertifications in: IPC-A-610 & IPC J-STD-001\nISO 9001:2015 Knowledge\nGENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES\nCompliance with all ISO Quality Requirements\nCompliance with IEC operating policies and procedures\nCross-Functional communications in support of IEC goals\nAdherence to standard days and hours for on-site work: Monday through Friday, recognizing there are times when longer hours and/or weekend work may be necessary to help meet Customer and Company expectations.\nOther duties as assigned. From time to time, the supervisor may ask the PCB Process Engineer to assist with tasks that are outside normal job responsibilities, but within the individual’s capability, to achieve company goals. IEC expects PCB Process Engineer to respond to these requests in a positive manner.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nBeing on the floor, hands on, will be critical for the role. 70% of time will be in either SMT or TH.\nThis job operates in an office and manufacturing environment and the person in this role knows how to conduct self in a professional manner.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have good communication skills. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and may be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
