Job Description: L3Harris is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Mission Networks Engineering team that provides modern, secure, reliable and resilient telecommunications networks and information management systems. Join the team developing critical communication capabilities for air traffic control, air-to-ground data communication, secure access to situational awareness data and secure information sharing to state agencies. The Software Engineer will support a suite of applications used to deliver mission critical communications, air traffic surveillance and enterprise information management to our customers. The Software Engineer will leverage Object Oriented development concepts in support of .NET and Web applications including working with databases supporting queries, indices and views. The Software Engineer will be a member of the Agile Software team and collaborate with System Engineers, DBAs, System Administrators and the Operations team. Experience working in Linux environments and Java development is a plus. The ability to root cause issues in an operational environment and resolve the issues quickly is needed for successful engagement. Essential Functions: Support the full software development lifecycle activities in support of .NET and Web applications. Support the integration of the applications with databases including writing & updating queries to meet expected performance of the operation of the applications. Provide support to suite of applications in 24x7 operational environment, including resolving critical issues quickly to prevent outages. • Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. 2 years of hands-on software development experience with .NET applications. 1 year of experience with web development concepts, with .NET preferred. 2 years' experience hands-on integrating applications with databases (Oracle, SQL) including writing & maintenance of queries.
