The Apprentice Lineman will also support and learn from the Lineman team(s) and partner with other personnel from the company.\n\nRole and Responsibilities\n\nProvide technical skills needed for the operation and maintenance of reliable electrical services for the consumer, completing jobs with quality and timeliness.\nProvide for connecting and disconnecting, installing and removal, moving and transferring of various electrical devices on customer facilities, such as transformers, transformer banks, regulators, switches, switching devices, capacitor banks, etc.\nResponsible for routing or rerouting power lines over, under, and/or around existing lines and structures.\nInspect and/or remove power lines that are damaged.\nAssist in carrying poles, digging holes, and other operations as needed in setting or replacing poles.\nPerform line switching or sectionalizing, as directed.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications and Requirements\n\nMust have a valid Class A CDL within three (3) months of employment.\nMust be able to pass a DOT physical and drug test.\nAdhere to company safety and health policies – Techline will provide on-the-job safety training.\nTechline does not sponsor H-1B visas.\n\nRequired Skills and Abilities\n\nAble to adapt to seasonal temperature changes and inclement weather.\nAble to meet physical requirements such as but not limited to, standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, cutting wire, lifting and maneuvering up 50 lbs. or more without assistance, and more.\n\nSupervisory Responsibility\n\nThis position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.\n\nEmployee Benefits Offering include(s):\n\nEligibility to participate in employer-sponsored plan(s) on the first day of the month following sixty (60) days of full time employment\nEligibility to enroll in Company Sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, and Voluntary Life Insurance\nAutomatic enrollment in the 100% employer paid Life and Long-Term Disability (LTD) insurance\nEligibility to participate in Techline 401(k) retirement plan\nPaid holidays, leave options, and more!\n\nThis position is subject to a background check.
