Fund Controller -Private Equity

Firm: >5b Credit Fund in Midtown, HYBRIDTitle: Controller (#2 to the CFO)Compensation: 250-350k total comp (Base + Bonus)Looking for: 9-15 years of experience from a hedge, Pe or Credit fund.A NYC based Private Equity Firm (Closed and Open ended funds) is looking to bring on an Controller to join their team. This will be the #2 to the CFOThe ideal profile is for a candidate with 9++ years of experience from another firmThe firm has been a great track record and name in the industry while employing over 60 people. They have a multi-strategy approach doing credit. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to have exposure to all.-Responsible for month end close and accuracy of fund accounting, reporting, analysis and special projects, including developing a comprehensive understanding of products traded and processes utilized.-Oversee business valuations for illiquid portfolio company investments using multiple valuation techniques and update quarterly and annual valuation memos-Managed entire accounting process for two investment vehicles, including coordination of the month-end close process, daily and weekly estimate PnL reporting to front office-Take part in investor relations including reports and occasionally dealing with the investors directly as needed-Monitor illiquid investment valuation models- Assist deal teams on technical accounting reviews and legal diligence of current transactions and acquisitions in pipeline-Prepare capital call analysis-Work directly with portfolio company CFOs on finance matters-Create automation and work with IT and Consultants on automationCompensation will be commensurate with experience48052
