Houston's Inc. is currently hiring for an Inside Sales Representative to join our Inside Sales team. We want our employees to enjoy coming to work every day!Compensation:$23-24 per hourDiscretionary quarterly bonusesBenefits:Employer-paid medical insurance for employee-onlyEmployer-paid Life Insurance, LTD, and EAP for employee-onlyPaid Time Off and Holiday Pay401k with matching up to 6% (100% on the first 3%, 50% on the next 3%)Schedule:Monday - FridayDay ShiftPosition Purpose:The Inside Sales Rep will act as a liaison between Houston's and customers, provide product and services information, answer questions, and work to identify and resolve any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency.Functions or Duties:Interact with customers by phone and email in order to answer questions about products, pricing, inventory availability, applicable shipping, delivery terms and moreProvide clear explanations when communicating with internal and external individualsEnter customer orders in a timely manner to ensure the earliest possible delivery date and consistently provide follow-up to make sure the customer is immediately alerted to changes impacting delivery schedulesResolve product or service problems by utilizing a full circle approach to customer service - clarify the customer's complaint; determine the cause of the problem; select and explain the best solution to solve the problem; expedite correction or adjustment; and follow up to ensure resolutionGrow sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communicationRecommend products based on customers' needs and interests; promote awareness of new vendor lines, products, current campaigns or other relevant topicsProvide quotes for customers by working with internal and external resourcesManage multiple duties simultaneously while providing exceptional customer serviceUtilize CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool to keep record of customer interactions and delivery changes, as well as actions takenPartner with cross functional department members to gather information and ensure its accuracyModel Houston's core values of creating connections, operating with integrity, being the change and identifying challenges as opportunities for growth while performing all job dutiesOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Knowledge and Skills:Ability to prioritize own workload and support the team to meet deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skills required to effectively communicate with customers and employees using multiple mediumsMust possess a professional and friendly attitude and be able to quickly develop a rapport with customers and de-escalate difficult conversationsStrong mathematical skillsWork with minimal supervision and effectively prioritize and complete work to meet deadlinesStrong problem-solving skillsFamiliarity using a CRM software program (Salesforce.com) desirableExperience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookAttention to detail / high level of accuracyHigh proficiency and accuracy in 10-keyEducation and Experience:High School Diploma requiredThree years' background in Customer Service, Inside Sales, or equivalent experience, requiredExperience in Foodservice Industry preferredExperience with Salesforce preferredPhysical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:Lifting, loading, pushing and pulling products weighing upwards 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 poundsClimbing stairs or ladders, as well as walking, squatting, kneeling, bending or reaching while merchandising and moving productsBe exposed to loud noise and machinery, plus able to judge distances and read signs; therefore, hearing and vision are requiredBe exposed to cold or heat while performing job dutiesMust be able to pass a non-THC drug test and background check.Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Travel: 0%Organizational Data:This position reports to: Inside Sales ManagerThis position directly supervises: NoneEEO Statement:Houston's Inc. provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
