Oversees all aspects of the hotel operations management including guest relations, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, sales, finances, team building, staff development and compliance with relevant statutory requirements. Must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and demonstrate outstanding leadership. Must be able to delegate responsibilities, organize complex projects, and establish priorities consistent with First Bristol Corporation objectives.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nOversee the operations of all departments including scheduling, staff relations, meetings and communication.\nDeal with the general public, customers, employees, union and government officials with tact and courtesy.\nResponsible for all items listed in the Standard Operating Manual (SOP) Manual.\nResponsible for completion of training programs and team coaching.\nApprove payroll for hotel on a weekly basis.\nResponsible for weekly and monthly reporting as directed in the SOP Manual.\nResponsible for superior guest service and guest satisfaction as measured through Brand GSS surveys and online review sites.\nResponsible for the success of special projects and promotions as they relate to the various hotel departments.\nAssist in budget creation, adjustments and maintaining profitability.\nCreate & update a yearly Capital Expense (CapEx) program to address the capital needs of the hotel.\nImplements and maintains effective “open-door” communication that crosses all departmental lines in order to achieve associate satisfaction as measured through our Associate Opinion Survey.\nEnsure all departments are following the assigned departmental checkbooks.\nCoordinate all special guest programs, amenities, arrangements, etc. between all departments (Sales, Front Desk, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Shuttle Service), to ensure flawless execution of guest expectations.\nKnowledgeable in the hotel’s Property Management System.\nEnsure follow through on all issues and discrepancies pertaining to Guest Services.\nPrepares financial reports for the VP & Ownership that clearly explain operational effectiveness, trends and variances.\nDevelops accurate and aggressive long and short-range financial objectives consistent with the VP & Ownership direction.\nDirect weekly management meetings.\nUphold and enforce key control standards.\nMaintains product and service quality standards by conducting ongoing evaluation and investigating internal and external complaints – initiates corrective action if necessary.\nThis Job Description Does Not Constitute A Contract For Employment\nWork with and manage the hotel’s operating budget – identify areas in which upgrades are needed, or reductions can be made.\nDaily Yield Management of labor and expenses based on the hotel’s financial performance.\nResponsible for Accounts Payable by following standards set in the SOP Manual.\nEstablishes and maintains a positive human resources role to ensure employee motivation, training and development, wage and benefits administration, and compliance with established labor regulations.\nBe part of and direct the weekly Revenue Management Call.\nHandle all administrative tasks pertaining to the various hotel departments.\nServe as Manager On Duty.\nPerform other duties as assigned or needed.\nEDUCATION REQUIRED:\nBachelor’s degree required.\nEXPERIENCE REQUIRED:\nMinimum of 3 years of management experience supervising 6 or more employees required.\nPrior Hotel Management experience required.\nSKILLS, AND CAPABILITIES REQUIRED:\nBilingual preferred.\nLeadership skills.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nThe Task Force Manager has a team of direct reports at the management/supervisory level and ultimate management responsibility for all hotel employees.\nMust be able to motivate and develop the staff.\nEQUIPMENT TO BE USED:\nOffice Equipment\nHotel and Financial computers and software.\nVacuum\nCleaning supplies; materials and cleaning solutions.\nSupply Cart\nTYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nMust be able to stand, sit, bend, stoop, and walk and possess the physical stamina to work at a high energy level for periods in excess of 8 hours daily.\nMust be able to talk and hear.\nLift and carry up to 30 lbs.\nTYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS:\nMust be detail-oriented, customer-focused and able to multi-task.\nMust be able to use sound judgment in decision making which have significant financial and legal implications on the business.\nMust be able to act in a leadership capacity during emergency situations including hotel evacuations and life-threatening instances.\nThe ability to: listen, read, write, and speak, both clearly, and effectively ensures that the lines of communication are open between the Associates and guests at the hotel; and is absolutely essential.
