Volunteer: Patient and Care Giver Support

Encompass Health Hospice is looking for volunteers who are compassionate and understanding to provide direct patient care activities and administrative activities to patients during their final months and weeks of life. Volunteers provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members. As a hospice volunteer, you will be given choices as to how much and what types of things you want to do.A few ways you can help as a hospice volunteer is by running errands for patients and families, playing games or reading with patients, walking and caring for family pets, or even creating a photo album of the patient and their family., We are seeking new volunteers to come on board! Some of the task volunteers will complete are making calls to patients or caregivers, sending birthday, holiday, or condolence cards, provide companionship and socialization, assisting with community outreach, and general office support such as organizing or filing paperwork and event decorating and planning.This is a volunteer opportunity provided by VolunteerMatch, in partnership with LinkedIn for Good.
