systems including performance and reliability assessmentsRecommend upgrades, modifications, and long-term engineering solutionsEquipment Oversight & EvaluationConduct ongoing inspections and evaluations of plant equipment and systemsMonitor performance of key assets including pumps, motors, turbines, boilers, switchgear, and control systemsIdentify opportunities for optimization and lifecycle extensionCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Southern Company Services, OEMs, and external engineering partnersCoordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure project alignment and technical complianceCommunicate engineering needs and recommendations to plant and corporate leadershipDocumentation & ReportingDevelop technical reports, work orders, and project documentationMaintain accurate records of engineering decisions, analyses, and recommendationsProvide clear communication on project status, risks, and performance metricsRequired Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited program required)10+ years of engineering experience in power generation, industrial, or utility environmentsStrong background in electrical systems within a power plant or heavy industrial settingDemonstrated experience in project management and technical leadershipRequired Skills and AbilitiesStrong knowledge of electrical
