MEP Superintendent

A leading general contractor and major player in the mission-critical/data center construction space, delivering large-scale, complex projects for some of the world’s top technology clients. We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent with a strong MEP background to lead field operations across our growing portfolio of data center builds nationwide.Key ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day on-site construction activities with a focus on MEP systems for data center projectsManage and coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low-voltage subcontractorsOversee installation, startup, and commissioning of critical systems (HVAC, chillers, switchgear, UPS, generators, BMS)Develop and manage short-term lookahead schedules and ensure alignment with the master project scheduleEnforce site safety standards (OSHA) and maintain a strong safety cultureMonitor quality control (QA/QC) and ensure all work complies with project specifications and industry standardsCoordinate inspections, manage RFIs, and resolve field issues in collaboration with project teamsMaintain accurate daily reports, progress tracking, and project documentationSupport project closeout, turnover, and client handover processesQualifications5–10+ years of experience as a Superintendent with strong MEP focusProven experience on data center or mission-critical projects preferredDeep understanding of MEP systems, sequencing, and commissioning processesStrong leadership and subcontractor management skillsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedulesExperience with tools such as Procore, Primavera P6, or similar platformsOSHA certification preferredRequirementsWillingness to travel nationwide and work on rotational assignmentsAbility to work in fast-paced, high-demand project environmentsStrong communication and coordination skills
