We're currently operating in Las Vegas and San Francisco, with Austin and Miami on the horizon, and testing underway across seven U.S. markets.\r\nRole Overview\r\nSupport the build and operation of a CI environment for Airlines on a new MFG test asset - running automated test runs against physical hardware for either the GA line or FRU re-bringup flow, validating test content and catching regressions before they hit production.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nAssemble/wire the rig\r\nDeploy Firmware & test configs\r\nConfigure and run test suites continuously\r\nMonitor and document runs\r\nFirst-pass failure triage and routing\r\nWrite/maintain test-run scripts while documenting set-up and roadblocks\r\nProvide status updates during campaigns\r\nProgram Requirements\r\nCurrently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a closely related field\r\nAvailable to commit to a minimum three-month assignment\r\nAble to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week\r\nAble to work on-site at one of our office locations\r\nMust adhere with Zoox confidentiality requirements, including refraining from using or sharing proprietary company information outside of Zoox, such as in academic research, theses, publications, or presentations\r\nQualifications\r\nProficient with Linux/CLI\r\nStrong programming skills in Python and Git\r\nHands-on hardware/lab skills (schematics, wiring, instruments)\r\nDetail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to convey complexity and ambiguity clearly\r\nBonus Qualifications\r\nEmbedded/HIL/test-automation/CAN coursework or projects\r\nExposure to CI tools, Docker, or Pytest\r\nExperience with log-reading & triage\r\nFamiliarity with automotive/robotics ECU, firmware-flashing, or MFG-test\r\nWe want to be transparent: this is not an internship. The Part-Time Student Worker Program is designed to complement your academic experience by providing meaningful, ongoing work alongside your studies. Rather than participating in a cohort-based program, you'll join a team directly and contribute to real projects with real impact. While the program does not include structured intern programming or a pathway to full-time employment, it offers valuable opportunities to learn, develop new skills, and gain hands-on experience in a professional environment.\r\nCompensation for this role is $30/hour.\r\nThis is a contract position; employment will be through a vendor contracted with Zoox.
