In this role, you will support the development, implementation, and coordination of complex projects. This position is for someone who wants meaningful exposure to global technology policy and infrastructure work.\nYour enthusiasm and organizational skills will be key in coordinating activities, managing contractors, and ensuring the successful delivery of programs that make a real difference. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your leadership abilities while contributing to meaningful social change.\nThe Program Assistant will work closely with leadership to support operations, communications, events, writing and research.\nResponsibilities\nProgram & Project Support\nSupport coordination of multi-stakeholder initiatives (including standards bodies, civil society coalitions, and UN processes)\nTrack project timelines, deliverables, and reporting requirements\nAssist with drafting reports, meeting summaries, concept notes, and funding proposal\nMaintain organized documentation systems across projects\nEvent & Convening Support\nCoordinate logistics for workshops, convenings, and conference participation (virtual and in-person)\nManage participant lists, scheduling, and follow-ups\nSupport preparation of briefing materials and speaker notes\nCommunications & Outreach\nAssist with newsletter and content publishing (Internet Exchange and related projects)\nDraft social media posts and basic communications materials\nHelp maintain contact lists and stakeholder databases\nAdministrative & Operational Support\nSchedule meetings across time zones\nTrack invoices and support basic financial documentation\nAssist with grant reporting documentation\nMaintain internal organizational systems\nTrack project timelines, deliverables, and reporting requirements\nAssist with drafting reports, meeting summaries, concept notes, and funding proposals\nMaintain organized documentation systems across projects\nExperience required\nRelevant professional experience (nonprofit, research, policy, tech, or related field)\nExceptional organizational skills and attention to detail\nStrong writing and editing ability\nSocial media and digital communications familiarity\nAbility to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously\nAlignment with Exchange Point’s mission and values\nStrong preference for\nFamiliarity with digital rights, internet governance, AI governance, or technical standards processes\nExperience supporting grants or nonprofit programs\nExperience coordinating international meetings or working across time zones\nComfort engaging with technical material (no engineering background required, but intellectual curiosity is important).\nExchange Point (EXP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit building public-interest digital infrastructure.
