This role ensures uninterrupted production through effective supplier management, cost optimization, and timely delivery of materials. The Buyer will partner closely with operations, planning, and suppliers to maintain supply continuity, quality standards, and cost efficiency.\r\nThis is a hybrid role in our Plano, TX headquarters.\r\nDuties and Responsibilities\r\nDevelop a strong understanding of production processes, raw material requirements, and critical supply dependencies\r\nManage end-to-end procurement of raw materials, plant supplies, and related services to support operations\r\nReview and validate purchase requisitions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper approvals\r\nSource and evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and capacity\r\nNegotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings and service level targets\r\nEstablish and maintain supplier relationships to support long-term partnerships and performance improvement\r\nSet up and maintain new vendors and raw material items within procurement systems\r\nMonitor and manage open purchase orders; proactively address delays or risks to supply\r\nCoordinate with suppliers to confirm production schedules and ensure on-time delivery\r\nTrack shipments and resolve issues related to quality, shortages, or damages\r\nPartner with Accounts Payable and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and PO-related issues\r\nSubmit and manage claims for damaged or non-conforming materials and ensure timely resolution\r\nSupport cross-functional initiatives, including inventory optimization and cost reduction efforts\r\nMaintain accurate data and documentation within procurement systems (e.g., D365 or equivalent)\r\nCommunicate regularly with Purchasing leadership regarding risks, opportunities, and performance\r\nPerform other duties as assigned\r\nQualifications & Requirements\r\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)\r\n3–5+ years of experience in purchasing, with a strong preference for raw materials sourcing\r\nExperience in manufacturing or production environments strongly preferred\r\nStrong negotiation, supplier management, and cost analysis skills\r\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment\r\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail\r\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities\r\nEffective written and verbal communication skills\r\nProficiency in ERP systems (e.g., D365, ReQlogic, Nav) and Microsoft Office Suite\r\nHigh level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism\r\nDemonstrate ownership of work quality, productivity, and timeliness\r\nCommunicate clearly, professionally, and proactively across all levels\r\nContribute to a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and teamwork\r\nAlign with and support company goals, values, and performance objectives\r\nSupport and meet company/department goals and core values\r\nCollaborate with co-workers to achieve common goals\r\nWorking Conditions\r\nMust be able to perform the essential job duties.
