In partnership with the scientific/technical lead, the Associate Project Manager will be assisting in the day-to-day management of highly impactful research initiatives related to translational science research. Positions at FNIH are an excellent way to grow your exposure beyond a single field or industry because the organization sits at the nexus of the partners list above. Work will be conducted under the supervision of more senior Project Managers in a hybrid work environment, including virtual and at the FNIH offices located in North Bethesda, Maryland.\nThis is a non-research, administrative management position requiring excellent interpersonal and writing skills, a high level of organization, diplomacy, focus, ability to work under tight deadlines, and familiarity with biomedical research environments.\n\nSkills:\n\nExcellent communication skills, both written and oral\nProficiency in writing (e.g. generation of clear and concise business documents, written reports and meeting summaries);\nAbility to work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously\nFlexibility and ability to adapt to different priorities\nStrong analytical and critical thinking skills\nA desire to provide service excellence in project management\nAdvanced competence in use of Microsoft Office suites (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).\n\nEducation & Experience:\n\nA bachelor’s degree in a scientific/technical field (Master’s degree is a plus)\nStrong interest in scientific project management\nGreater than 2 years of work experience, ideally in the health care, government, scientific or biotech/pharma industry, or non-profit sector\nExperience in working with scientific stakeholder/clients is a plus\nKnowledge of culture, systems, and organization of NIH, FDA and/or the pharmaceutical industry is a plus\nFamiliarity with management of contracts is a plus\nPrior role in consulting or client-based environment is a plus\nPrior role in nonprofit research environment is a plus\n\nThis is a hybrid position and requires regular visits to FNIH headquarters in Bethesda, MD.
