Triangle is waiting for you to join our team!\n\nThis is a full-time position with Los Angeles Community College District.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nUnder the general supervision of the BuildLACCD PMO IT Director, the Programmer/ Analyst III is\nresponsible for all BuildLACCD computer network administration and operations activities at the\nProgram Management Office (PMO) as well as the 9 Campus Project Sites. This role performs a variety\nof complex professional and technical duties related to the installation and maintenance of computer\nnetworks and communications hardware and software applications including network and application\nservers, routers, Firewall, LAN, WAN, in addition to PC workstations. The role is also accountable for\nthe effective operation of IT disaster recovery systems at the College sites, and providing support for\nLevel 2 & 3 tier helpdesk tickets.\n\nConfigures, manages and provides technical networking support for the physical and virtual environments, including hosts, operating systems and storage.\nTesting, installation, configuration and maintenance of operating systems, application software, and network device configurations\nEnsure system up time and communicate effectively with other members of the corporate team.\nOversees the administration of systems and servers related to the network to ensure availability of\nservices to BuildLACCD user community.\nInstalls and configures client and server network software, and performs software upgrades as\nneeded.\nProactively monitors and identifies network and system issues and takes corrective action in order\nto ensure efficient network and computing operation.\nManages assigned projects to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.\nConfigures, manages and provides technical support of firewalls, Wi-Fi APs, network switches other\nnetwork devices.\nResponds to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside\nvendors and provides technical assistance and support in a timely manner.\nProactively identify, investigate, and propose resolutions to issues that could impact the\nnetwork/server infrastructure.\nContributes to the team in an effort to share knowledge, document procedures and SOPs and\nprovide training where required.\nConduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network\nprocurement and development efforts.\nProvide technical support in installations and maintenances of network systems.\nSupport existing networks and perform upgrades as needed.\nMaintain network security firewalls and define network access rights.\nMaintain disaster recovery procedures and contingency plans during system failures.\nPerform network routing, cabling and switching activities.\nDevelop and enforce standard operating procedures to ensure quality and productivity.\nDevelop system installation and configuration documents for references.\nDesign network topologies and identify and correct network non-compliance issues.\nRespond promptly during outages and recommend solutions for performance issues.\nRecommend new networking technologies to improve performance, reliability and scalability.\nMaintain network infrastructure and perform modifications and expansions when needed.\nWork closely with other Network Engineers to plan and complete assigned tasks within deadlines.\nPerform root cause analysis of network issues and recommend corrective actions.\nSecurity systems development, testing, analysis, and implementation.\nSystem vulnerability assessment and management.\nResponds to security threats, attacks, and similar events and develops threat prevention strategies.\nRegular generation of reports for executives and administrators.\nSupports the helpdesk function along with the web services support function.\n\nRequired Experience:\n\nMinimum of 7 years of applicable systems and network administration experience.\nBachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college with a degree in computer science or related field. Additional four years qualifying experience in excess to the minimum stated above may be substituted for the required education.\nExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, positive attitude and keen attention to detail.\nExcellent collaborative and team skills and ability to present ideas in user-friendly and non-technical language\nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Current Windows Servers and Internet\nprotocols: DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS, SFTP,\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Active Directory Services, Entra ID, Office 365, and document SharePoint\nmanagement system\nExperience with VPN Appliances and Cisco Meraki Appliances\nWorking knowledge of Enterprise Antivirus, CrowdStrike, Zoom Administration, Microsoft Teams,\nand network security including VPNs, ACLs, IPSEC, SSL\nExperience with Web site, intranet, and SharePoint support, and PowerShell scripting and\nautomation.
