Line Cook
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our culinary team as a Line cook. This role is essential in delivering high-quality food service and ensuring that all meals meet our standards of excellence. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of dietary needs, contributing to menu planning and execution in a fine dining environment.
Duties
Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
Assist in menu planning, ensuring variety and nutritional balance.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
Handle food with care, adhering to proper food handling procedures.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Cater to special dietary requirements as needed, providing excellent customer service.
Utilize knife skills effectively for meal preparation and presentation.
Participate in the cleaning and organization of the kitchen area post-service.
Contribute to inventory management, including ordering supplies as necessary.
Experience
Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
Background in fine dining or restaurant environments is highly desirable.
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and catering within the food industry.
Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
Experience serving meals in a fast-paced environment is an asset.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
