The work involves a variety of activities in ensuring the optimal functioning of the program, including managing staff resources, ensuring availability of services, identifying and resolving problems affecting delivery of services within the program, coordination with other programs both within the Network and in the community and direct provision of services. Administrative and clinical supervision and consultation is provided to program staff. The Program Supervisor is supervised by the Director of Community Mental Health Services or the Senior Program Supervisor as assigned and participates in Quality Assurance and other Network administrative and committee functions.\nAssists in setting policies and procedures for the Wayne Behavioral Health Network services;\nProvides day to day supervision of assigned staff and clinical programs;\nAssists in evaluation of program effectiveness;\nAssists in budget development and oversight of program costs and revenue;\nMonitors and promotes optimization of units of service delivered by programs;\nPlans services within the program to meet identified and anticipated demand;\nOversees treatment planning, admissions, referral, utilization review and discharges within programs;\nProvides periodic employee evaluations of program staff;\nMaintains familiarity with treatment methods employed with the program and with advances in treatment methodology;\nScreens and recommends to Director candidates for employment vacancies within the programs;\nProvides or assists supervisor with providing staff with clinical or agency related education and training;\nProvides direct service as needed to maintain program’s commitment to service delivery;\nReviews time sheets, schedule change requests of program staff;\nResponds to complaints regarding program services;\nProvides education and consultation to community regarding program services.\nThorough knowledge of community mental health services; thorough knowledge of psychopathology, diagnosis, intervention methods, referral procedures, crisis intervention, familiarity with community resources and culturally diverse populations; demonstrated clinical competence; ability to supervise and work effectively with professional and paraprofessional staff; demonstration of sound judgment; ability to handle stress, analyze problems and make appropriate decisions in a timely manner; ability to present ideas effectively verbally and in writing; ability to demonstrate positive conflict resolution skills; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, nursing, mental health counseling, or related Behavioral Sciences, and three (3) years experience in community mental health in a professional capacity.\nAND/OR (depending on Vacancy):\nMental Health Program: Licensed by New York State as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or a registered Professional Nurse (RPN).\nSPECIAL NOTE: EDUCATION: Your degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education.
