{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"0ad3d260ded242b4abea40c8","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/0ad3d260ded242b4abea40c8","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/0ad3d260ded242b4abea40c8","title":"Technical Service Engineer","description":"JOB SUMMARY\nThe Technical Service Engineer’s responsibilities include:\nManagement and internal distribution of OEM technical documentation and communications including Service Bulletins, Advisories, Stop Orders (SO), Tech Memo (TM), New Tool Notice (NTN).\nResolve technical submittals, encompassing OEM design challenges and supplier nonconformities (NCRs).\nProvide technical product support to quality, supply chain, and customer service functions.\nJOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n1.Participate/attend OEM Scorecard and other meetings to solicit design and status changes, for example, tools that have been cancelled and obsoleted, have safety concerns, and/or are new designs being launched.\n2.Manage technical documentation and internal distribution of OEM technical documentation for example Service Bulletins, Advisories, Stop Orders (SO), Tech Memos (TM), New Tooling Notices (NTN), presentations, updates to CRTL, and tracking sheets being changed (Scorecard Email).\n3.Lead and manage technical submittals and communications for OEM design issues and supplier nonconformities including:\nTracking and driving resolution/closure.\nPreparing rework instructions for obsoleted and cancelled tools.\n-Communicating changes to sourcing/suppliers with open POs of design issues and remedies.\nInvestigating customer complaints to determine validity and corrective actions.\nCommunicating design issues identified by other licensees.\nManaging forms and documents including Customer Problem Reports (CPR) and Supplier or quality design issues identified before tool shipment - Source Problem Report (SPR) for GE design issues, Deviation (Deviation Form) for SAFRAN deign issues, and Supplier or AGSE requested non-conformance deviation (ENMS)\n4. Assist purchasing and quality in the following activities:\nSupplier selection, evaluation, and resolution of technical issues and questions.\nSupplier training on specifications, prints, and other technical and quality documentation.\nDisposition/resolution of supplier non-conformance reports (NCRs).\nMetrics as required.\nCompliance with European Union CE directives.\n5. Support customer service:\nPrepare workscope tool lists and maintain configurator in support of customer RFQs and inquiries\nRespond to inquiries including calls, and e-mails conveying requests for technical product support.\nParticipate in TI Meetings to resolve issues and answer questions.\n6. Manage core dolly preventative maintenance program including maintenance process updates, dolly receiving, final inspection, repairs/refurbishments, invoicing, documentation retention.\n7. Prepare status updates to support management meetings.\n8. Function as interface with the OEM technical teams.\n9. Prepare work scope documents and provide training.\n10. Act as the primary interface and provide technical support to OEM teams as needed.\n11. All other duties as assigned by management.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nBS in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aeronautical, Industrial) or 5 years of related experience.\nProficient in oral and written communication.\nCapable of reading blueprints and understanding of drawing symbols including geometric tolerancing (ANSI Y14.5).\nUnderstanding of mechanics, materials, and manufacturing techniques.\nFamiliar with CAD software systems preferably AutoCad, CATIA, and UG.\nAbility to author reports and correspondence.\nAbility to establish and meet goals and objectives.\nAbility to analyze and interpret customer/government standards.\nAbility to schedule, organize and manage activities of others.\nAbility to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with suppliers and functional team employees.\nAbility to travel as needed to customer, supplier, and corporate locations.\nExcellent computer skills.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS\nWhile performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift 25 pounds.\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
