We fabricate and distribute sanitary equipment and systems for the food, pharmaceutical, personal care, and beverage industries.We are seeking a Design Engineer (Electrical) to join our team! The Engineer will research, design, develop, and/or test electrical systems for the variety of products we manufacture.Job Responsibilities: Designs and develops electrical systems used in the automation of industrial tasksReads and interprets customer specificationsDevelops electrical system overview drawingsDevelops panel layout drawingsDevelops wiring schematics for 1 phase and 3 phase AC and DC circuitsDevelops loop and bus diagram drawingsDevelops pneumatic diagramsAssists in conduit design and panel locationSize wiring, fuses, components, panels, etc.Completes panel heat calculationsProvides direction during fabricationEstimates material and labor costsCreates detailed bill of materialsObtains quotes and issue purchase orders for parts and servicesOther duties as assignedQualifications: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to apply electrical engineering theories, practices, and procedures to automate products and processes.Thorough knowledge of NEC, NFPA79, UL standardsKnowledge of PLC programming would be a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Excellent interpersonal skills and able to effectively work with individuals at all levels within the organization.Proficient in AutoCADProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.BS degree in Electrical Engineering2+ years design experiencePhysical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.Pay & Benefits:Target salary range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 (DOQ). The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. The Company also offers 401K with matching employer contributions along with a discretionary profit-sharing benefit to eligible employees. This position is also bonus eligible, which is based on company targets as well as individual performance targets.Benefits include the following: Medical insurance is available for full time employees and their dependents through Blue Cross Blue Shield.
