We are looking for a hands-on, creative, and driven Lead Software Engineer to spearhead the manufacturing systems for our internal advanced silicon lines.\r\nAs a Lead Software Engineer will be responsible for architecting and scaling the software systems tailored to wafer-level, chip-level, and panel-level packaging operations, helping to take them from concept to mass production as we scale the world's most advanced satellite constellation in the world.\r\nRESPONSIBILITIES\r\nLead a software engineering team that architects and optimizes high-output factories of the future\r\nOwn all aspects, including delivery, of a specific technology roadmap\r\nSet the bar for technical excellence across the team, and create opportunities for the team to continually improve\r\nRecruit the best engineering talent to the team\r\nChallenge the team to develop new processes and deploy entire factories rapidly with high machine reliability and safety standards\r\nCollaborate closely with automation, mechanical, process, safety, production and maintenance leadership to identify high-impact projects and opportunities for improvement\r\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\r\nBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline and 3+ years of software development experience; or 6+ years of professional experience building software in lieu of a degree\r\n1+ years of experience leading software teams or projects\r\nPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE\r\nStrong desire to mentor and grow employees\r\nProgramming experience in Python, C#, .NET, Go, Java, or similar object-oriented language\r\n4+ years of rigorous experience building full stack web applications\r\nSemiconductor industry work including with SECS/GEM protocol\r\nFamiliarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)\r\nExpertise in testing and infrastructure\r\nExpertise in profiling and improving application performance\r\nDatabase experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar database technologies\r\nAble to collaborate across group and department lines with a wide range of engineers and managers\r\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills\r\nStrong software engineering fundamentals (object-oriented programming, networking, working in a team development environment)\r\nDomain expertise in any of the following\r\nManufacturing systems\r\nSupply Chain systems\r\nWarehouse Management systems\r\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS\r\nMust be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed\r\nTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
