Job Description Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Seeking an enthusiastic Physical Therapist to support students in a dynamic educational setting for the upcoming academic year. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 13, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with consistent weekday hours—Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.—for a total of 35 hours weekly. The role is based onsite, working directly with students and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.Key qualifications:Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)Previous experience in a school-based environment is highly preferredFamiliarity with IEPs, completion of evaluations, writing Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN), and documenting progress monitoringComfort with classroom equipment and an understanding of its applications in physical therapyAbility to supervise at least one Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)Training in Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment (TPBA) for PreK is a strong assetStrong organizational and communication skills; team-oriented attitudeMust be available onsite for the entire contracted durationPrimary responsibilities:Provide direct treatment services to students as outlined in their IEPsPerform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and collaborate with educators and family membersDocument student progress and contribute to ongoing monitoringSupervise and mentor PTA(s) as requiredContribute to equipment recommendations and setup within classroomsMaintain clear, accurate, and timely records in accordance with school guidelinesParticipate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary planningThis role offers the satisfaction of making a tangible impact while building your school-based experience in a supportive, collaborative environment.
