Warehouse Manager
Position SummaryThe Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operation, and performance of the warehouse and warehouse team members. This role oversees receiving, fabrication, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, transportation, and facility maintenance while ensuring safety, accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The Warehouse Manager leads day-to-day warehouse operations, manages multiple shifts, implements process improvements, and maintains compliance with safety and operational standards.Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however, employees may perform other related duties, and not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each employee in the job title:Provide direct leadership and supervision across multiple shifts, including assigning work, setting priorities, and ensuring tasks are completed to meet or exceed customer expectationsLead and manage warehouse team members using a hands-on, coaching-oriented management styleOversee fabrication operations, including roll shutters and roof pans, ensuring quality, safety, and productivityManage receiving, order fulfillment, loading, and shipping processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and security of product movementOversee transportation and delivery coordination to support customer order requirementsEnsure inventory accuracy through proper controls, cycle counts, and corrective actions as neededOrder, monitor, and control warehouse supplies and materialsMaintain facility and equipment, ensuring proper upkeep, repairs, and operational readinessEnsure compliance with OSHA requirements and company safety policies; promote and maintain a safe work environmentParticipate in budget planning and managing operations within approved expense parametersIdentify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance productivity, efficiency, accuracy, and qualityEstablish operational goals and performance metrics to monitor warehouse effectivenessMaintain a clean, organized, and positive warehouse environmentQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. College degree is a plus.Experience/Skills/Abilities RequiredAbility to organize, plan and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environmentStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to use these skills to communicate effectively at all organizational levels within the organizationSelf-directed decision-maker with strong analytical, problem-solving, and business-judgement skillsExperience managing multi-shift warehouse operationsHands-on leadership style with ability to coach, mentor, and hold team members accountable. Team approachCustomer service focused mindset with attention to accuracy and timelinessExperience in fabrication / manufacturing a plusExperience supporting new operations start-up experience is a plusWork Environment/Physical DemandsOffice, warehouse, truck yard – moderate to loud noise level. This position regularly requires standing; walking; sitting; use hands; reaching with hands and arms; and talking and/or hearing.
