If you're reliable, detail-oriented, and enjoy hands-on work, this could be a great fit.Essential DutiesAs part of our Building Services team, you'll help maintain County facilities through a variety of custodial and cleaning responsibilities, including:Cleaning and maintaining County buildings through daily tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizingSanitizing restrooms, clinical areas, and high-touch surfacesMaintaining floors and carpets using specialized cleaning equipmentCollecting and disposing of trash and recyclablesRestocking cleaning supplies and organizing storage areasPerforming periodic deep-cleaning duties including vents, stairwells, baseboards, and other detailed cleaning tasksAssisting with opening and closing facilities to help ensure building securityIdentifying and reporting maintenance, repair, or safety concernsSupporting custodial operations across multiple County buildings as neededQualificationsWe're seeking someone who:Takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and organized environmentsIs dependable, punctual, and able to work independentlyCan safely operate cleaning equipment and follow established proceduresPays attention to detail and notices what needs to be doneCommunicates effectively and works well as part of a teamIs flexible and willing to support different locations or assignmentsFollows safety practices, including proper use of cleaning products and personal protective equipment (PPE)Work Environment & Physical RequirementsThis is a second shift positionWork is performed primarily indoors within County facilitiesPosition involves standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and repetitive motion throughout the shiftExposure to cleaning agents, dust, and occasional biohazard materials may occur, with appropriate safety procedures and PPE providedSheboygan County offers a wide range of employee benefits. to view benefit overview.
