Stand Up & Integrate Fabrication (Initial Focus)\n\nLead launch of expanded fabrication operations\n\nEnsure seamless integration into assembly workflows\n\nEstablish end-to-end process flow and material movement\n\n2. Own Manufacturing Engineering Across the Floor Functionally\n\nEnsure consistent standards and best practices across factory\n\nDevelop and standardize processes across:\n\nFabrication\n\nMechanical and electrical equipment assembly\n\nFacilities mechanical, electrical, and plumbing build out processes\n\nDrive routing/BOM accuracy, labor standards, and capacity planning\n\n3. Drive Throughput & Flow\n\nIdentify and eliminate bottlenecks (Factory Physics mindset)\n\nImprove:\n\nCost of poor quality (rework focus)\n\nLead times\n\nWIP levels\n\nOn-time delivery\n\nImplement and support practical lean systems (not just theory)\n\n4. Quality & Process Control\n\nImplement scalable quality systems (APQP mindset):\n\nInterface on DFMEA creation to drive process development\n\nPFMEA and control plans on new projects\n\nStandard work\n\nDrive root cause problem solving and corrective actions with teams\n\n5. Design for Manufacturability (DFM)\n\nWork cross-functionally with engineering and customers\n\nProvide functional leadership to MEs, Technicians, and Value Stream teams\n\nHelp build and scale the Manufacturing Engineering function\n\nEstablish accountability and performance expectations – strategic alignment and tactical execution\n\nThis is not intended to be an individual contributor role long term. Transition with performance and progression into:\n\nManufacturing Engineering Manager, or\n\nFocus Factory/Operations Manager or Project Management (PMO)\n\nOwn performance metrics with Value Stream team:\n\nThroughput\n\nQuality\n\nLabor productivity\n\nDelivery\n\nRequired Experience\nMust Have\n\n8–15+ years in manufacturing engineering or operations\n\nSupervisory or management experience preferred\n\nStrong communication and collaboration skills\n\nExperience across multiple process types, including:\n\nFabrication - laser, forming, welding (TIG, laser)\n\nAssembly (mechanical required, electrical ideal)\n\nExperience in production environments, not just engineering (aerospace, med device, custom equipment preferred).
