Job Title: IT Hardware (Asset Management) SpecialistLocation: Staten Island, NYTarget Rate: $30 - $35 hourlyJob Type: Full TimeJob SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical IT Hardware (Asset Management) Specialist to join our IT Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end tracking of hardware assets, ensuring data accuracy within our inventory management system, and providing actionable reports using advanced Microsoft Excel functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong data manipulation skills looking to grow their career in IT Asset Management.Key ResponsibilitiesAsset Lifecycle Management: Track the full lifecycle of IT hardware (laptops, mobile devices, etc..) from procurement and deployment to maintenance and disposal.Data Integrity & Reporting: Maintain, clean, and reconcile asset data in Excel and the internal system. Create weekly/monthly inventory reports, highlighting discrepancies.Inventory Control: Perform regular audits, both physical and virtual, to verify asset accuracy. Update records in the Asset Management System promptly.Vendor Support: Assist with processing support tickets, and remediation tracking.Required Skills & QualificationsAdvanced Excel Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, data validation, and formulas for data analysis.Experience: 2–3 years of experience in IT asset management, inventory management, or a data-intensive IT role.Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with hardware/software and ITIL best practices.Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and troubleshooting discrepancies.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with internal stakeholders and vendors.Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.Experience with ticketing systems or ITAM tools (e.g., AutoTask, ServiceNow).Certifications such as CHAMP (Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional) or CSAM (Certified Software Asset Manager)
