About the CompanyWe are partnered with a reputable DC-area general contractor seeking a Construction Estimator to support a strong pipeline of work across the DMV. This role will focus on commercial interiors, base building, and institutional projects throughout Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland.About the RoleThis role will focus on commercial interiors, base building, and institutional projects throughout Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland.ResponsibilitiesPerform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates from conceptual through GMP/bid phasesReview drawings/specifications and develop accurate budgets and scopesSolicit, analyze, and level subcontractor bids across local trade partnersSupport preparation of competitive proposals and negotiated bidsWork closely with PMs and field teams to ensure pricing aligns with project executionAssist with value engineering and cost-saving strategiesMaintain relationships with local subcontractors and vendors in the DMV market Qualifications3+ years of experience in construction estimating (GC preferred)Experience working in the Washington, DC / Northern Virginia / Maryland marketStrong knowledge of commercial construction methods and pricing in the DMVProficiency with Bluebeam, Procore, On-Screen Takeoff, Sage, or similar toolsAbility to read and interpret plans, specs, and bid documents Required SkillsCommercial interiors (TI), multifamily, healthcare, or institutional workExperience with fast-paced negotiated work and repeat clients Preferred SkillsConsistent project pipeline across the DMVStrong subcontractor network and local reputationOpportunity for growth into Senior Estimator or Preconstruction ManagerCompetitive base salary, bonus, and full benefits.
