Electrical Project Estimator - Responsible for both administrative tasks and preparing cost estimates for electrical projects. They would manage the office's daily operations, ensure smooth workflows, and maintain accurate records. Additionally, they would analyze blueprints and specifications to determine project scope, gather pricing from suppliers, and create detailed cost estimates. Daily Operations: Oversee office administration, including maintaining records and handling correspondence. Workflow Management:Ensure smooth and efficient office procedures. Project Initiation:Initiate projects in accounting systems and distribute them to project managers. Communication:Serve as the point of contact for maintenance visits, office construction projects, and site surveys. Record Keeping:Maintain accurate records of all projects, contracts, and financial information. Estimating: Cost Analysis:Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other project documents to determine project scope and necessary materials, labor, and time. Pricing Research:Research and gather pricing information for materials, equipment, and labor from suppliers and contractors. Cost Calculation:Calculate detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead. Proposal Preparation:Prepare cost estimates for bids and proposals, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness. Bid Management:Participate in bid review meetings and submit bids and proposals. Change Orders:Price field change orders and incorporate scope changes into existing estimates. Collaboration:Work with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather information and secure competitive pricing. Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are accounted for. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of construction processes, and the ability to negotiate contracts effectively. The Estimator will play a crucial role in project management and cost control, contributing to the overall success of our projects. Duties Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on specifications, drawings, and site conditions. Analyze project requirements and collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate pricing. Utilize software tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam for estimating and project management. Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary data for accurate estimates. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing. Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget constraints. Provide support in cost control measures and financial reporting related to projects. Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence with vendors.
