Job Descriptionosition SummaryAn advanced aerospace organization is seeking a Senior Assembly, Integration & Test (AI&T) Technician to join a dynamic and growing team supporting the production and deployment of next-generation spacecraft systems. This role will focus on hands-on spacecraft assembly, integration, and testing of flight hardware, with additional responsibilities including procedure development, inspection, and mentoring junior technicians.Ideal candidates will be passionate about space systems, have a strong mechanical/electrical background, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble, integrate, inspect, and perform operational checkout of spacecraft flight hardware and associated ground support equipmentTrain and mentor less experienced techniciansWrite test procedures and operational documentationEnsure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standardsTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues during build and test phasesCollaborate with engineers and other technicians across various disciplinesRequired Qualifications12+ years of experience in aerospace or aviation operationsDemonstrated experience working with flight hardware in a production environmentProficiency in Lean Manufacturing practicesSkilled in fabricating and routing flight/test harnessingExperience inspecting, repairing, or building flight circuit card assemblies (CCAs)Strong understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, and 3D modelsComfortable with mechanical and precision hand toolsProficient with electrical test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies)Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationCapable of lifting 50 lbs, climbing ladders/stairs, and working in confined spacesFamiliarity with Microsoft Office toolsAbility to obtain a Secret or TS/SCI security clearancePreferred QualificationsExperience installing and modifying spacecraft Multi-Layer Insulation (MLI) blanketsFAA A&P LicenseIPC and J-STD certificationsAssociate’s degree or technical certificate in a related fieldPrevious hands-on experience with spacecraft bus or payload integrationSkilled in mixing and applying adhesives, epoxies, and coatingsCertified in forklift and overhead crane operationsStrong electrical troubleshooting capabilityBenefitsComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurancePaid Time Off (PTO)401(k) retirement plan with company contributionOpportunities for growth in a rapidly expanding aerospace environmentApplication ProcessInterested candidates are encouraged to apply directly via the provided application link.
