This hands-on role is responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, inventory management, and distribution of products while ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures. The Lead Warehouse Associate serves as a working supervisor, leading by example and supporting the overall productivity and effectiveness of warehouse operations.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nAssist the Warehouse Operations Manager in the daily operation and organization of warehouse activities.\nProvide leadership, direction, and support to warehouse associates to ensure operational efficiency and productivity.\nSupervise and participate in unloading trucks and receiving incoming product shipments.\nVerify received product quantities and inspect shipments for accuracy and damage.\nSafely store and organize products in designated warehouse locations.\nPull products accurately to fulfill transfer orders and customer requests.\nLoad pallets and prepare shipments for outgoing transfers.\nEnsure products are properly secured by safely stacking, wrapping, and shrink-wrapping pallets for storage and transportation.\nMaintain warehouse sanitation, cleanliness, and organization to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.\nConduct regular inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy with a goal of no less than 95% accuracy.\nInvestigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.\nMonitor warehouse operations to ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and quality standards.\nTrain and mentor warehouse associates on proper warehouse procedures, equipment operation, safety protocols, and company expectations.\nAssist with scheduling workflow and assigning daily tasks to warehouse personnel.\nOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.\nEnsure compliance with all company safety, security, and loss prevention policies.\nReport operational issues, equipment concerns, and inventory variances to management.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse productivity and efficiency.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nEducation and Experience\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nMinimum of three (3) years of warehouse, distribution, inventory control, or logistics experience.\nPrevious supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience required.\nExperience operating forklifts and material handling equipment preferred.\nExperience with inventory management systems and warehouse management software preferred.\nRequired Skills and Abilities\nStrong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.\nThorough understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and product handling procedures.\nAbility to maintain accurate inventory records and achieve inventory accuracy goals.\nStrong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.\nExcellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.\nWorking knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.\nBasic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and warehouse management systems.\nAbility to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally more with assistance.\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and climb throughout the workday.\nAbility to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.\nAbility to safely operate warehouse equipment and machinery.\nWork Environment\nThis position operates in a warehouse environment and requires regular interaction with warehouse personnel, delivery drivers, and management.
