You’ll be a member of our highly respected team of professionals with a full complement of resources to support you and exciting projects to keep you challenged.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nPerform field inspections for rental housing program\nRead and examine plans and specifications when required\nReport violations and maintain files/records\nPerform other related duties as required\nKNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:\nInterpretation of codes in the field and ability to provide code compliant solutions\nAbility to work with all levels of management; strong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to establish priorities, work independently in rapidly changing environment, and function as group leader.\nMust possess the ability to positively interact with the other staff members, the general public, contractors, governmental entities, and other clientele\nGood time management, organization, and attention to detail skills\nDemonstrated ability to exercise initiative and a considerable amount of independent judgment\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:\nTDLR Code Enforcement Officer II licensure required\nICC International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC) Certification a plus\n1+ years of experience in security, enforcement, or compliance-related work including investigating allegations, conducting research and resolving complaints, concerns or conflicts\nExperience in building, construction, or trades highly desired\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required\nValid Driver's License and good driving record required\nCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS: SAFEbuilt pays competitive wages and has a comprehensive benefit offering.
