The position requires the candidate to provide technical support and advice on current and future activities including studies and initiatives. Duties require the successful candidate review, advise, and shape classified initiatives, studies, demonstrations, and programs to meet current and future USAF capability needs. The successful candidate shall have the experience, and skill sets necessary to independently execute the following systems engineering support tasks.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nApply an understanding of DoD, AF, and common engineering/scientific principles, processes, and procedures to improve performance and sustainability of existing and future programs and projects.\n\nAssist in translating user requirement into weapons system requirements which will be used to design, develop, fabricate, test, and evaluate subsystems and associated equipment for eventual fielding and deployment.\n\nPerform technical and mission analyses of existing and future operational requirements to support programs and projects.\n\nAssist in developing subsystem concepts and perform technological trade-off assessment of proposed designs/modifications.\n\nSupport assessment of related AFRL technology initiatives to guide investments and shape transition strategies to keep a viable technology base available to support systems development.\n\nAssist in developing systems engineering documents and processes for subsystems and associated projects across the customer's portfolio.\n\nProvide technical and programmatic feedback and advice, develop, and present technical briefings, and develop acquisition products and strategies in support of WAG activities.\n\nProvide support for risk management and configuration control processes.\n\nQualifications\n\nPossess a minimum of 20 years of relevant Department of Defense (DoD) work experience.\n\nHave no less than 3 years experience in a Special Access Program (SAP) and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environment within the last 5 years.\n\nPossess a Master of Arts, Master of Science, or Master of Engineering degree.\n\nExperience and degree requirements must be in a field relevant to the functional area.\n\nU.S. Citizenship is required for this position, due to contract requirements.\n\nBenefits\n\nStarting PTO accrual of 20 days PTO/year + 10 holidays/year.\n\nFlexible schedules.\n\n6% 401k match with immediate vesting up to $9,000 annually.\n\nSemi-annual bonus eligibility (July and December).\n\nCompany funded Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) – a separate qualified retirement account.\n\nUp to $10,000 in annual educational reimbursement.\n\nOther company funded benefits, like life and disability insurance.\n\nOptional zero deductible Blue Cross/Blue Shield health insurance plan.\n\nEqual Employment Opportunity\nMTSI embraces nine core values including our first core value of Employees come first.
