This position provides hands-on experience with circuit design, PCB development, prototyping, testing, and cross-functional product development.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nAssist with schematic design, circuit analysis, simulation, and PCB layout for new and existing products.\nSupport electrical component research, evaluation, selection, and qualification.\nCreate and maintain component libraries and design data within electronic design tools such as Altium Designer or KiCad.\nDevelop and update bills of materials (BOMs), electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.\nAssemble, test, troubleshoot, and debug prototypes using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, function generators, and other laboratory equipment.\nAssist with circuit calculations, design verification, and validation testing.\nSupport the development of test procedures, test reports, and other engineering documentation.\nCollaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, process, and quality teams to ensure designs meet functional, manufacturability, assembly, and testability requirements.\nSupport Design for Manufacturability, Assembly, and Test (DFM/DFT) reviews.\nAssist with the design, assembly, programming, and validation of electrical test fixtures and automated test equipment.\nSupport engineering change orders (ECOs), document control, and product revision processes.\nParticipate in design reviews, project meetings, prototype builds, and continuous-improvement activities.\nFollow applicable electrical safety, ESD, quality, and engineering standards.\n\nCompetencies\n\nCommunication\nTeamwork & Collaboration\nInitiative\nProblem Solving\nTime Management\nProfessionalism\n\nQualifications\n\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field\nFamiliarity with schematic capture and PCB layout software (Altium Designer, KiCad, Eagle, or similar)\nUnderstanding of electronics fundamentals including analog and digital circuit design\nExperience with lab equipment and hands-on prototyping\nStrong attention to detail and documentation skills\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills\nPassion for electronics and eagerness to learn in a practical, team-based setting\n\nPro-Active Engineering is an equal opportunity employer.
