This is a highly hands-on role involving large-scale mechanical and electromechanical systems, system cabling, testing, troubleshooting, alignment, and final system integration.Hands-on manufacturing and assembly experience is prioritized over formal education.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, assemble, test, and integrate large semiconductor tools and complex equipment.Perform mechanical and electromechanical assembly at the system level.Perform system setup, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and rework.Perform system cabling and cable routing, including 2–3 days of cabling per tool when required.Load software and perform basic system setup/configuration.Test and troubleshoot assemblies and final systems.Perform alignment processes and maintain tool schedules according to defined milestones and test times.Support tool progression priorities and resolve moderately complex technical issues.Work from blueprints, drawings, diagrams, specifications, and procedures.Use fine-adjustment hand tools, torque wrenches, calipers, and various testing/measuring instruments.Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions.Support continuous improvement and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Provide technical guidance or training to peers when required.Required QualificationsHands-on experience in manufacturing, mechanical assembly, electromechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, or repair.Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with basic hand tools.Experience with system-level testing and integration is highly preferred.Ability to work effectively in a cleanroom environment.Comfortable using precision tools such as torque wrenches, calipers, and fine-adjustment hand tools.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Good written and verbal communication skills in English.Strong organization, time management, and task-prioritization skills.Ability to work extended hours and significant overtime.Ability to lift approximately 30–50 lbs independently.Ability to stand, sit, bend, climb ladders, and work around large equipment.Must be comfortable working in a cleanroom environment and confined/claustrophobic spaces.Preferred ExperienceSemiconductor equipment or other complex capital equipment.System cabling and cable routing.Robotics or XY-stage systems.Equipment integration and troubleshooting.Opto-mechanical or mechanical systems.Wafer or reticle handling systems.Biotech equipment or other highly complex manufacturing equipment.Technical certificate, Associate degree, military technical training, vocational training, or equivalent experience.2+ years of relevant experience preferred.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a hands-on technician/engineer with strong mechanical aptitude, experience assembling and troubleshooting complex equipment, and the ability to work through the full build cycle from assembly through testing and integration.
