Military Fellowship Program: Avionics Technician
SNC's Military Fellowship Program partners with programs such as SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide up to six months of on-the-job industry training to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. Participants gain valuable work experience and build professional networks as they prepare for full-time civilian roles. This fellowship is open only to currently serving on active duty personnel and is not available to veterans who have separated from service.
As an Avionics Technician, you will perform avionics maintenance in accordance with FCC, FAA, and company policies. Your responsibilities include installing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing avionics components, as well as maintaining test equipment, tools, and manuals.
Qualifications Active duty military service and eligibility to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program
High‑school diploma or GED equivalent
Higher‑level degree may substitute for required education
Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications; ability to route wires per technical drawings
Familiarity with avionics installation tooling and exposure to wiring repair and installation
Experience with soldering and crimping techniques
Additional Preferences Familiarity with FCC and FCC GROL
Basic understanding of spectrometer, oscilloscope, and/or pitot static equipment
Background in the aerospace and defense industry, DoD, or U.S. military
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (may be required)
