Fiber Installer/Service technician

Job Overview We are seeking dedicated, experienced and self motivated Fiber Technicians to join our rapidly growing company. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a positive customer first attitude, particularly in the installation and maintenance of fiber optic premise cabling systems(ftth). This role requires proficiency with various testing equipment such as power meters ,vfls and OTDRs , as well as a solid understanding of in house networking and telecommunications. Our network spans throughout the Eastern Shore of MD, Delaware, and Western Maryland. Candidate must be willing to commute to meet the needs of the business. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber optic home networks in various environments including attics ,crawlspaces ,vaults ,etc. Utilize testing equipment and ability to splice in single fiber applications Conduct field service operations, providing technical support and solutions to customers on-site. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used during installations. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician or similar role in the telecommunications or networking field with minimum 1 year of experience Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various in home systems effectively. Familiarity with cabling practices, low voltage systems, and telephone/data installations. Proficient understanding of computer networking principles and telecommunication systems. Ability to work independently in the field while managing time effectively. Excellent communication skills for interaction with customers and team members.
