Apply your skills to the latest DoD weapons and sensor systems, modernizing the Navy and contributing to mission success.\n\nJR Software Developer Responsibilities Include:\n\nSupport Naval projects and programs by conducting software development within the Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM) weapon system.\n\nPrimarily support a Senior Amentum developer in development using Agile development principles.\n\nDemonstrate expertise in software requirements, architecture, and testing.\n\nSupport modern weapon system software development, testing, and deployment processes.\n\nUtilize C, C++, Git, Jira, and static code analysis tools in support of software development activities.\n\nApply modern software development practices, including Agile, Scrum, and DevSecOps.\n\nWork effectively on cross-functional teams that include members from industry and other government organizations.\n\nWork independently and collaboratively with others to meet established goals and program schedules.\n\nPerform analysis and problem-solving techniques in support of professional scientific and engineering work.\n\nTake responsibility for professional development by acquiring knowledge and skills through continuous learning.\n\nIdentify, champion, and secure future work in alignment with the Branch Mission, Vision, Strategic Goals, and Objectives.\n\nMinimum Requirements:\n\n1–10 years of experience.\n\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, engineering, or another applicable technical field, or equivalent experience in lieu of the education requirement.\n\nFamiliarity with Agile Development.\n\nSuccessful candidates must possess excellent communication skills and be able to interact directly with customers and engineering personnel, including the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing at all levels, including Senior Managers and Program Managers.\n\nMust have an active Secret U.S. Government clearance. U.S. citizenship is required to maintain a Secret clearance.\n\nCandidate must maintain a valid REAL ID driver’s license, required for access to the customer site, and have access to reliable transportation, as this position requires occasional travel between local work sites during the week.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nEmbedded systems, GNC algorithms, and High/Low/Medium Fidelity Simulators.\n\n1+ years of Surface Combat Systems or DoW Weapons System sustainment experience.\n\nSustainment of software systems on surface ships and subsurface boats.\n\nSystems engineering experience for the development and integration of software systems on surface ships\n\nCompensation Details:\n\nUS: $80,000-$110,000\n\nThe compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
