This role provides hands-on exposure to civil engineering projects and offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on real-world site development and infrastructure projects.The Civil Designer Intern will assist with preparing design drawings, performing technical calculations, supporting field activities, and contributing to project documentation under the guidance of senior engineering staff.This position is ideal for students currently pursuing a degree in civil engineering who are interested in gaining practical experience in design, engineering analysis, and project development.Key Responsibilities:Engineering & Technical SupportAssist engineers with research, design tasks, and technical project supportSupport the preparation of engineering drawings, plan sets, and design documentationPerform calculations and basic analysis consistent with civil engineering principlesAssist with hydrology and hydraulics analysis where applicableMaintain documentation of calculations, drawings, and project communicationsDesign & DraftingAssist in developing engineering drawings, site plans, details, and sectionsSupport drafting activities using Autodesk Civil 3DContribute to the preparation of technical reports and project documentationField & Project SupportParticipate in field activities such as site inspections, surveying support, and data collectionAssist with construction-related services when requiredCoordinate with project team members and communicate design results and progress updatesTeam CollaborationWork collaboratively with project teams to support successful project deliveryCommunicate effectively with engineers and team membersManage time effectively to meet project schedules and deadlinesDemonstrate adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and skillsQualificationsCurrently enrolled in a Civil Engineering degree programStrong interest in civil engineering design and infrastructure projectsStrong math, science, and analytical skillsInterest in engineering design, drafting, and technical problem solvingExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)Interest in or exposure to Autodesk Civil 3D preferredInterest in hydrology and hydraulics software is a plusWhat You’ll GainHands-on experience working on real civil engineering projectsExposure to engineering design processes and project developmentMentorship from experienced engineers and technical professionalsOpportunities to develop technical and professional skills within a collaborative environment
