STRUCTURAL is the open-shop contracting business line of Structural Group.\r\nWe are currently recruiting for a General Superintendent to support our new STRUCTURAL Dallas, TX team.\r\nAs a General Superintendent for STRUCTURAL, you will be responsible for providing high level field management to other Superintendents, Foreman as well as our open shop crews that make our nation's structures stronger and last longer. Projects typically consist of concrete repair, masonry restoration, waterproofing, and structural strengthening in commercial and industrial settings.\r\nAs a successful candidate, you will also be responsible for:\r\nWorking closely with Project Managers, Division Managers and other leaders within the STRUCTURAL\r\nParticipating in pre-project and pre-task planning activities then disseminating planning details to field teams\r\nMotivating team members to work together to accomplish tasks, coordinate work activities with other construction project activities and assign work to employees, based on material and worker requirements of specific jobs\r\nEnsuring crews are operating all tools and equipment in a safe, proper and productive manner\r\nProviding training and assistance to field managers and crews in the performance of work related tasks\r\nAssisting Project Managers in evaluating various production rates related to the project\r\nCompleting all essential paperwork in a clear and accurate manner\r\nInterviewing and hiring of new field employees\r\nProviding leadership to the Company's Safety 24/7 culture\r\nCandidates who meet the following criteria may be considered for this exciting position based in our large Operations division:\r\nHigh school degree or equivalent. Candidates with a Bachelors degree in Construction management or related field may be given preference.\r\n12+ years of experience in general construction with at least 5 of those years in a field management role at a Foreman or Assistant Superintendent level or above\r\nPrior experience in general repair type projects to include: concrete repair, structural strengthening, waterproofing, corrosion control, façade restoration,\r\nPrevious experience running 3-8 projects simultaneously (depending on size/complexity)\r\nProven ability to manage various levels of field managers as well as oversee divisional field operations\r\nDemonstrated ability to read, interpret and execute to construction drawings and contract specifications.
