To support the constantly growing team at our Lawrence, Kansas, manufacturing site, we are offering the following position: Machine Operator – Web Coating - B ShiftThis is a full-time position, 12 Hour rotating shift depending on production requirements. The current job opening is for B Shift, 7.00 pm – 7.00 am, Monday – Wednesday week 1, Monday – Thursday week 2. The Machine Operator is responsible for providing support in the manufacturing area. Full training will be provided. Machine Operators work in manufacturing and warehouse environments and must be able to lift 50 pounds or more. Appropriate PPE must be worn, and proper safety procedures, including grounding and bonding, must be learned and adhered to due to the following hazards in the workplace: flammable liquids and solids, high-speed rotating equipment, organic chemical solvents, pallet jacks, lift trucks, and large industrial machinery. Key Job Duties:Operation of various manufacturing equipmentGeneral housekeeping of manufacturing areas and the warehouseAdhere to all safety policies while actively promoting safe work practices Qualifications:· High School diploma or GED· Strong basic math skills· Prior mechanical experience· Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments· Good visual observation skills · Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel and Word) Working with SCHLENKAs a family-owned enterprise, we are focused on people and sustainable growth.
