Purpose Test Conductor 1 shall be responsible for conducting vehicle testing in multiple modalities and geographic locations and reporting results. This includes preparing readiness validation procedures for new scopes such as drawbridges, freeways, or surface street strandings, snow procedures, to ensure autonomous vehicle safety on public roads. Test Conductor will lead a team to execute field tests and troubleshoot issues.Essential FunctionsLearn customer test objectives, ensure test objectives are well defined, and communicate objectives to test teamLead a team of vehicle operators and test assistants to safely execute field tests and ensure test objectives are achieved Programing and operation of Guided Soft Targets and other collision avoidance test equipmentBasic troubleshooting of hardware, software, car, test execution issues and escalate accordinglyCommunicate test progress and statusEscalate all safety concerns *TRC Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer and is willing to make a change or adjustment to a job or work environment that allows a qualified individual with a disability to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of a particular job. **Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.Other Duties and Responsibilities (Non-Essential Functions)Travel to off-site customers and test locations - Up to 50% of time.Analyze test and scenario data once tests are completeCommunicate test plans, proposals, non-conformances, and project status to internal and external customersAssist test engineers and technical operations in accomplishing project tasksMake technical decisions with assistancePresent proposals and report test results before customer representativesSupport the program planning, logistics, and scheduling processes as required to enable effective and efficient system test and integrationIdentify and implement improvements to existing workflows and test proceduresMaintain dashboards to display results and status. Generate and present concise test reports highlighting areas of strength and weakness.Support TRC Inc.'s Quality and EH&S (Environmental, Health, and Safety) efforts Qualifications Associate's degree or equivalent technical experience is requiredBasic understanding of data acquisition systems and instrumentationExcellent organizational and communication skillsGeneral knowledge of computers including word processing and data analysis softwareAbility to write technical reportsBasic project management skillsFlexibility with work hours during busy test periods.Ability to work overtime is requiredAbility to work evenings and weekends as neededAbility to travel (up to 50%) is requiredAbility to complete and pass all internal, position specific job and safety trainings requiredValid state DMV issued or valid foreign country issued driver's licenseWorking conditions• Standard office, climate controlled environment• Some travel is required• May be exposed to temperatures below 0 degree and above 95 degrees• May be exposed to inclement weather• May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, such as gas, oil, and paintPhysical requirements• Ability to move objects weighing up to 25 - 50 pounds• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time• Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment• Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers• Capable of positioning one's self into bending, stretching, climbing, or awkward positionsDisclaimer
