Candidates will join the Cyber Identity & Assurance team and will contribute to both strategic project work and day-to-day identity operations. These roles are long-term contract engagements, supporting Active Directory, identity security, observability, and automation. The ideal candidates are senior-level engineers with deep technical knowledge in identity platforms, scripting, and security operations. Key Responsibilities Identity & Infrastructure Engineering • Design, operate, and secure Active Directory and Domain Services environments. • Execute and support monthly domain controller rebuilds using automated CI/CD pipelines (\"Rehydration process\"). • Perform PowerShell-based automation for identity and infrastructure operations. • Apply identity security best practices aligned with governance frameworks. Monitoring & Observability • Develop advanced Splunk queries, dashboards, and alerting. • Use New Relic for observability across services and infrastructure. • Identify monitoring gaps and enhance real-time operational awareness. Cloud & Platform Support • Support services running in AWS (domain controllers and identity services). • Collaborate with engineering teams on cloud-based identity infrastructure. • Apply DevOps and CI/CD best practices for infrastructure delivery using Git. Operations & Delivery • Participate in Agile Scrum teams (2-week sprints). • Manage work using JIRA and Confluence. • Handle tickets and workflows via ServiceNow. • Participate in limited on-call rotation (approximately once every two months for one week). Required Skills Must-Have: • Advanced Active Directory / Domain Services • Strong PowerShell scripting • Identity security fundamentals • Experience with NIST / Governance / Compliance frameworks • CI/CD pipeline experience • Git-based workflows • Operational monitoring and troubleshooting • Agile/Scrum experience Preferred: • Splunk (Advanced querying & dashboarding) • New Relic monitoring and observability • AWS • DevOps practices • Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) • ServiceNow Team & Work Environment • Team: Cyber Identity & Assurance • Focus: M&A integration (Capital One + Discover) • Work model: Fully remote • Time zone requirement: Must support Central or Eastern business hours • Team Type: Agile, DevOps-oriented, automation-focused Candidate Profile (Ideal) • Senior-level engineer with identity & infrastructure specialization • Strong automation mindset • Comfortable working in enterprise cloud environments • Collaborative and adaptable • Strong troubleshooting and operational maturity Interview Process 1.
