We have an opportunity to provide whole person care, while managing patient substance use disorders, primary care, infectious disease, mental and dental health needs. Are you ready to make a difference with us?We are currently seeking a part-time Denturist up to three days a week to support our clinic in Tacoma, WA. This position, reporting to the Dental Director, is an excellent opportunity for someone excited to make an immediate and lasting impact in a growing company.Position OverviewA Denturist is a licensed oral healthcare professional who specializes in the design, fabrication, fitting, and adjustment of removable dental prosthetics, including full and partial dentures. Working independently or in collaboration with dentists, the Denturist provides direct patient care to restore oral function, comfort, and aesthetics.We are looking for a Denturist who understands how critical opioid treatment is and who wants to help by being part of a whole-person treatment team where every employee makes a difference in our patients lives every day. Are you ready to make a difference one person at a time?Minimum RequirementsActive Denturist License issued by the Washington State Department of HealthGraduate of an accredited denturist or dental prosthetics programKnowledge of oral anatomy, dental materials, and prosthetic techniquesStrong manual dexterity and attention to detailExcellent patient communication and customer service skillsMust comply with Washington Administrative Code (WAC) and Revised Code of Washington (RCW) governing denturistsRequired to complete continuing education to maintain licensurePreferred Qualifications1-3 years of clinical experience as a denturistExperience with digital denture workflows or CAD/CAM technologyExperience in community healthRequired Skills, Knowledge, & AbilitiesEvaluate patients’ oral health conditions and determine denture needs for patients with complex medical, social and behavioral backgroundsMake impressions and necessary records for full and partial denturesDesign, fabricate, repair, and reline removable dental prostheticsFit, adjust, and ensure proper function and comfort of denturesEducate patients on denture care, maintenance, and oral hygiene, considering limited access to resourcesDeliver trauma-informed, nonjudgmental care that builds trust and patient engagementMaintain accurate patient records and treatment plansEnsure compliance with Washington State regulations and infection control standardsCollaborate with dentists or other healthcare providers when necessaryStay current with advancements in denture technology and materialsPrecision and craftsmanshipPatient-centered care, empathy and culturally responsive careProblem-solving, critical thinking and adaptabilityTime management, organizational skills and strong clinical judgementAbility to work independently or as part of a teamRequires standing for extended periods and fine motor workMay involve exposure to dental materials and lab equipmentFlexible schedulingPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this classification.
