Extrusion Machine Operator

Cable Extrusion Machine Operator—Join Our Team! We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Cable Extrusion Machine Operator to specialize in the production of drop cables and become a key part of our dynamic team. If you have experience in machinery setup, operation, and processing, including thermoplastic shaping, cable braiding, and conductor assembly, this role is perfect for you. You will ensure strict adherence to specifications while contributing to a fast-paced fiber optic manufacturing environment. Your responsibilities will include interpreting blueprints and diagrams to determine machine placement and setting up equipment for optimal functionality. Initial training may require some travel. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Preferred: 3+ years of experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar manufacturing role 1–3 years of experience processing cable raw materials through various production operations using construction sheets, setup sheets, and processing procedures Proficiency in equipment and cable monitoring to ensure quality production per specifications, including testing equipment use Strong familiarity with safety, environmental, and quality control standards Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills for internal and external collaboration at all levels Willingness to learn programming techniques for machine operation Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, deadline-driven environment Strong organizational skills and a solid mechanical background Ability to detect faulty operations and defective materials Must be available for either day or night shifts Preferred Knowledge & Certifications Electric City knowledge—PLUS Machinist certification—PLUS 1–3 years of experience with: Programming Logic Controls (PLC)—PLUS Human Machine Interface (HMI)—PLUS Diagnosing and correcting electrical & mechanical issues—PLUS Join us as an Extrusion Operator, where your skills will contribute to **producing high-quality cables Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: Paid time off Work Location: In person
